Kesari Recipe







Ingredients :-

Semolina / Rawa : - 500 gm
Sugar :-  200 gm
Water :- 1 Cup
Cardamom powder :- 1 tsp
Ghee :- 1 tsp (for roasting the rawa)

For  the   Garnishing :-

Kismis
Cashewnuts


Method   for   making   kesari:-


                                       

  1. Pour the ghee into a pan and heat it under fire
  2. Then add the rawa an roast it till the raw smell disappears and put asid
  3. Dissolve sugar in water in a another pan and  keep on flame and allow it to come to a boil
  4. Then add the roasted rawa ,cardamom powder in to the sugar solution slowly with continuous     stirring   
  5. The rava will absorb the water and swell and the mixture will thicken.
  6. Stir till the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  7. Stop the fire and , then immediately pour the rava kesari mixture in a greased pan or tray
  8.  Spread evenly and garnish with the kismis and cashewnuts
  9. When it cooled, cut into diamond shaped or square slices.
