Ingredients
:-
Maida : - 250 gm
Sugar :- 2 Cups
Ghee or Coconut
oil :- as needed
A Pinch of Salt :- to taste
For the Garnishing
:-
Freshly Grated Coconut :- ½ cup
Cardamom powder :- 1 tsp
Method for
making diamond Cuts:-
- Sieve and make a soft dough with maida with the required quantity of water and a pinch of salt
- Divide the dough into lemon sized balls
- Roll the dough on the floured board as thin as possible into a round shape
- Cut the rolled out dough into diamond shape
- Fry them in ghee or coconut oil till crisp
- Dissolve sugar in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil
- Make a thick sugar syrup
- Drop the pieces into the syrup and thoroughly coat it on all sides
- Place the pieces in a serving plate and sprinkle freshly grated coconut and cardamom powder on them
Serve the
