Sweet Maida Seva (Diamond Cuts) Recipe



                                                   
                                 
Ingredients :-

Maida : - 250 gm
Sugar :-  2 Cups
Ghee or Coconut oil :-  as needed
A Pinch of Salt :-  to taste

For  the   Garnishing :-

Freshly Grated Coconut :- ½ cup
Cardamom powder :- 1 tsp



Method   for   making   diamond   Cuts:-


 


  1. Sieve and make a soft dough with maida with the required quantity of water and a pinch of salt
  2. Divide the dough into lemon sized balls
  3. Roll the dough on the floured board as thin as possible into a round shape
  4. Cut the rolled out dough into diamond shape
  5. Fry them in ghee or coconut oil till crisp
  6. Dissolve sugar in 2 cups of water and  bring to a boil
  7. Make a thick sugar syrup
  8. Drop the pieces into the syrup and thoroughly coat it on all sides
  9. Place the pieces in a serving  plate and sprinkle freshly grated coconut and cardamom powder on them



         Serve the  Sweet  Maida Seva / Diamond Cuts as a tea-time delicacy
