Nadan Cheru payar Curry (Green Gram Curry) Recipe




               
                   


Ingredients :-


Green Gram/Moong/Cheru payar  :- 1 Cup
Small Onion :- 10 Nos
Garlic :- 5Nos
Curry Leaves :- 2 tsp
Turmeric powder : - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder :- 2 tsp
Salt :-  as required
Coconut oil :- 2 tsp


For grinding :-


Fresh Grated coconut  :–1/ 2 cup


Method  of  preparation :-


Cook the green gram (Cheru payar) by adding  3 cup of water , salt ,turmeric powder ,Chilli powder and little curry leaves
Grind the coconut very well
Crush the garlic and small onion ( its more tasty if u can use ammikal for this crushing) and put aside
When the green gram cooked, add the coconut paste into it and also add water as required
Heat the oil in another pan and add the crushed garlic , small onion and curry leaves
Fry it till it turns light brown colour and then add it to the green gram curry
Remove the curry from fire and transfer it to a serving pot
You can garnish the curry with curry leaves (it will more tasty )







      @  Serve   the   hot   Nadan  Cheru payar  Curry  with  
                                         Nadan  rice , Chapati   and also  with   Nadan  Puttu   @
