Ingredients :-
Rice : - 1
Cup
Milk :- 2 ltrs
Sugar :-1 cup
Cardamom powder :-1/2 tsp
Plantain leaf :- as required
Method of
Preparation :-
- Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes. Drain well and flour it well
- Mix the rice flour with hot water and make it into a smooth paste
- Spread the rice paste on the plantain leaf as thin as possible
- Roll the leaf very carefully and steam it for 5 to 6 minutes
- Shred the cooked rice layer and put aside
- Boil the milk and add sugar , cardamom powder
- Continue boiling till the quantity is slightly reduced
- Then add the shredded rice and continue boiling for 2 or 3 minutes
- Remove the pot from fire and transfer it to a serving pot
Serve the hot Nadan Palada Payasam
