Ingredients
:-
Rice Flour : - 2 Cups
Mango - Chopped :-
1 Cup
Freshly Grated Coconut :-1 cup
A Pinch of Salt :- to taste
For
the
Topping :-
Ghee or
melted butter :- 3 tsp
Cardamom
powder :- 1 tsp
Method
for
making Nadan Manga Pazham Puttu :-
- Roast the rice flour till the raw smell disappears. After that please allow it to cool
- Using the hand ,mix the rice flour , chopped mango , half the quantity of grated coconut and pinch of salt
- Put some grated coconut at the bottom of the puttu vessel
- Top it with little quantity of mango, rice and coconut mixture followed by the remaining grated coconut
- Continue layering and end it with the grated coconut
- Cover the vessel with the lid and steam it for about ten minutes
- Remove the lid and push the puttu with a rod on to a serving plate
- Slice the puttu into small pieces (about two inches)
- Put the ghee or butter over the slices
- Finally put the cardamom powder over the slices
Serve the hot Nadan
Manga Pazham Puttu with pappadam , pazham or any gravy curry
